Logotype was created for building company
exchanging crane operation, leasing and
service. Yellow-black colouring is typical
for building industry and action range of
Vindostav Ltd.
2. place: logotype PROTOTYPE 3,
applicant: Eugen Finkei, Slovakia
Logotype is a school project on the
University of Tomas Bata in Zlin.
3. place: logotype PAPIERNIK,
applicant: Privat secondary school of animation Bratislava, Slovakia

Two-dimensional logotype - main category:
1.place: logotyp LEVEL 5,
applicant: Roland Torsten Advertising, s. r. o., Slovakia
LEVEL 5 company deals with the advertising
spaces supply. Logo character: Letter with
the identical line thickness, width proportion
and also black colour were selected to
not unleash attention from point idea of
converting letter “V” with numeral “5”. Also,
it purveys to logo a minimalist character.
Logotype should affect sharply and
persuasively.
2. place: logotyp FRANCESCO D' ASSISI,

Special High School for handicaped students

soared bird - the known symbol connected
with Saint Francis of Assisi and with the
protection. Saint Francis of Assisi is patron
of ecology. That is why using of green color
which symbolizes the nature.
3. place: logotyp MEDIA ONE,
applicant: Mgr. Matúš Tkáč – VIALIA, Slovakia
New logotype of PR agency which acts
a few years. Redesign of identity was
supposed to maintain company colours and
give typographic type of logo expressing
a competence and including emblem useful
as graphic element separately.

ART AFTER DARK is a unique opportunity
for the curators to bridge disciplines,
merging talent and combining creativity.
Projects include sound, light and video
installations and performing arts in
a stunning new venue in West London.
Conceived as individually created events,
each night (10 in total) has a life of its
own. By making it transparent, modular
and rotating, we were able to capture the
essence of the variety of the events.

Logotype as a basic element of visual communication is one of the most widely used graphic elements.
The meaning and mission of this unique identifying artefact grows directly in proportion to an enormously
increasing number of textual and graphic information in our surroundings.
The ambitious goal of the First International Biennial Competition LOGO 2008 is to introduce the best of the Slovak graphic
design to the wide public, compare the level of Slovak creativity with the artists from neighbouring as well as more
distant countries and meaningfully fill up the gap in industrial graphic presentation for a long period of time.
The Biennial Competition LOGO 2008 intends to join numerous exhibition activities in the field of utility graphics,
which throughout the last decades were placed mainly in the premises of the present co-organisator of the Biennial
Competition - The Central - Slovakian Gallery (formerly State Gallery) in the town of Banská Bystrica.
LOGO 2008 is designed for professional graphic artists, designers, freelance artists, graphic studios, and advertising
agencies as well as for university students with specialisation in Fine Arts, Graphic and Design.
